In many of the spring/summer 2011 catwalk shows nude, barely there hues were

drifting down the catwalks in light floaty fabrics.

Richard Nicholl showed off this sheer white angelic dress (well, angelic minus the black bra, ahem.)

Note the pleat detailing? We’ll be seeing a lot of that in this article!

Another gorgeous angelic dress – this time by Chloé and in a grecian style.

Nude tones, pleated fabric (we told you!) and midi length – so many trends in one, it’s a pity

about the price tag.

So, you may be thinking, this is all great but there’s no way I’m going near a midi-length

pleated chiffon skirt.  We agree, it does seem scary so fear not, we have a few alternatives for you!

A soft coral-pink pleated chiffon dress – perfect for this trend and oh-so feminine!

TIP: If you wear it with nude heels your legs will look super long.

Not feeling the pleats at all? How about this cream cape top – very flattering and

also dabbles a bit with this season’s other big trend – 70’s chic. Perfect!
